Body armor

Mofet Etzion manufactures body armor panels based on the LIBA pellet technology and markets soft and hard body armor vests in a variety of presentations.
Personal body armor is defined by the threat level it is designed to protect against from the lower levels (NIJ IIIA) up to and including the highest levels of protection against AP (armor piercing) projectiles. Mofet Etzion works closely with clients when certain armors are required for specific threats. These composites are not listed due to the nature of the design parameters and proprietary compositions. All ballistic armors have various explosive blast and forced entry resistance capabilities not listed, due to associated complexities.
Mofet Etzion’s superior body armor solution offers previously unheard of anti-vandalism properties which, unlike other ceramic armor vests, can withstand heavy punishment and can be dropped or thrown about without losing its ballistic properties. This is a crucial factor for armies and police forces where the use of and treatment of body armor vests is not stringently controlled. Previous to the advent of LIBA armor ceramic ballistic panels, all conventional ceramic armor had to be tested periodically for ballistic integrity. Simply dropping the body armor vest panels can cause cracking leaving the ceramic panel useless. This resulted in needless cost and creates an endless logistics nightmare.
Mofet Etzion markets a wide range of body armor vests including vests that are exterior-wear vests for low threat environments and those that can be concealed and worn underneath jackets or casual dress outerwear or uniform.
The following are examples of body armor marketed by Mofet Etzion for low threat “soft” armor at the NIJ level IIIA.
These include stab protection or lower and these body armor vests are used without ballistic panels. There are numerous styles and colors with the possibility of adding a variety of pouches and/or Velcro straps or can be designed according to the specific requirements of the customer.
High threat armor Soft armor
The above samples are vests with relatively high threat integrity and are differentiated by the size of the ballistic panel used and the level of the threat. The available body armor threat levels are NIJ III to NIJ IV and all those various threats in between according to the needs of the client.
The panels themselves come in standard dimensions 25cm x 30cm (10″ x 12″) that can be inserted in the front and/or back of the vest or in side pockets. We also offer various types of body armor vests that include panels that cover larger body sizes or areas in smaller or larger size panels and are available according to the needs of the client.
