In response to the vulnerability of HMMWVs operating in Iraq, “Up-Armor” kits were designed and installed on the HMMWVs.
The HMMWV roof kit was a project Mofet Etzion partnered with AM General (SPLO) to provide bolt on up-armored kits for 100 HMMWV vehicles already in theatre. Due to the urgency of these kits (this project was done through the Rapid Equipping Force- REF) the kits were sent directly to theatre. The feedback was very positive and we look forward to supply further kits as needed.
Armored Land Rover for both military and civilian use: Mofet Etzion armored this Land Rover for civilian security. In one particular instance it survived multiple projectile impacts with no injuries to the occupants. The LIBA armor saved their lives.
